Lola Llobat

Dr. Lola Llobat graduated in biology from the University of Valencia (2003) to later obtain the “Master of Science in Animal Breeding and Reproduction Biotechnology” from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (2009), where she completed her Doctorate after obtaining an FPI-UPV predoctoral fellowship and obtaining the qualification of outstanding Cum Laude in his doctoral thesis (2012).His research activity began in 2003 carrying out research work in the field of molecular biology, mainly, in HIV sequencing for resistance detection of the virus against antivirals, to subsequently apply this technology to the study of different types of cancer and thrombotic diseases during his postdoctoral stay at the Center for Biological Research (currently Margarita Salas) of the CSIC (2012-2014). of his doctoral thesis as well as of his postdoctoral stay, he has published more than 30 scientific articles in indexed journals s in JCR, most of them published in high-impact journals (Q1) and has participated through a large number of communications in national and international conferences. She held the position of scientific deputy director of the La Fe Health Research Institute, where she actively collaborated in obtaining funding and achieving national and international competitive research projects. Since 2016 she has collaborated with the European Union as an expert evaluator of research projects within the H2020 program and the H2027 program, as well as with various countries as an external project evaluator (Poland, Argentina, and Slovakia, among others). Currently, she is a professor of genetics at the UCH-CEU Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, is part of the Association of Women Researchers and Technologists of Spain, as well as being a member of the Spanish Society of Genetics (SEG), of the “European Federation of Animal Science” (EAAP) and member of the Review Board of various international journals indexed in JCR. She is accredited as Contracted Professor and Private University Professor by ANECA. Currently, she has two current six-year research periods granted by CNEAI and is the Principal Investigator of two research projects in competitive competition.
